The Trustees are pleased to announce the appointment of Ruth Bravery as the next Secretary of the Rees Jeffreys Road Fund. She will be taking over from Brian Murrell, who is standing down after five years as the Fund’s Secretary. Ruth will initially be working alongside Brian until the next meeting of the Trustees in February when Brian will formally hand over to Ruth.

Volunteering is a core focus for Ruth, having volunteered in various roles throughout her life, including several roles as a Trustee. Ruth draws on this experience in her role as a member of the national assessing committee for the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
Ruth likes to play an active part in her local community and for time out enjoys gardening and long-distance walking.
David Tarrant, Chairman thanked Brian for his service to the Fund and welcomed Ruth’s appointment. “Brian has provided excellent administrative and financial support to the Trustees during his time with us. I am confident Ruth will follow seamlessly in Brian’s footsteps and take the work of the Fund forward with fresh ideas and new enthusiasm”.
NOTE
Brian Murrell will continue to lead on the work of the Fund up to its first meeting in February, with Ruth shadowing.
From February Ruth will take on full responsibility for the role with Brian providing support and advice to ensure a smooth handover.
