Since the Rees Jeffreys Road Fund was founded, a priority of the Fund’s is to encourage others to undertake various projects that align with Our Objectives.

During 2021 the grant and bursary programmes were fully operational despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In 2021 the Fund received 33 formal applications for grant funding totally £651,835, and eight applications for bursaries totally £80,000.

A total of £139,994 was awarded to 10 grant recipients (organisations and individuals) during the year.  Of the four bursary awards made in the year, 3 individuals were able to take up their studies and receive the bursary award.

The Fund also opened the Rees Jeffreys Road Fund 150 Competition in September 2021 to celebrate 150 years since the birth of the Fund’s founder William Rees Jeffreys, and received nearly 150 entries from schools, universities, individuals, businesses of all sizes, not for profit and statutory bodies. 14 grants of £55,000 for the first stage of the RJRF 150 Competition.
