The Annual Report 2011 shows an increase in grant expenditure over 2010 of £66,000. The largest element of spending – more than £170,000 – was on Education projects, particularly bursary awards and support for the introduction of a Rees Jeffreys lectureship at the University of Ulster. Trustees awarded £40,000 of research grants in 2011 but would like to increase that sum in 2012.
